Richard Freddy is a spoken word and hip-hop artist from Camden, New Jersey. Growing up he was constantly moving from school to school and being bullied. His mother worked at a supermarket and his father was a taxi driver. During that time Richard's parents went to school. Little did they know their son was a poet. Overtime Richard began reading plays by Edgar Allan Poe. Richard’s career began when he wrote a poem for his 7th grade teacher, on the back of a homework assignment. The very next day, Ms.Murray handed the homework assignment back and said “ This is amazing Richard , I never knew you could express yourself in such a way". At that time, Richard knew he could change the world. He wants to show people that they’re able to do whatever they want to do, no matter where they come from.
