NYsheem is a Brooklyn NY born Raeford, NC raised rap artist with a passion for music and expressive writing. He was raised in a musical household wherein each member had a specific taste in music, i.e., raegee, gospel, jazz, neo-soul, disco, r&b, boom bap or current hiphop. Because of this, nysheem was exposed and learned to appreciate different instruments, vibes, and cadences as well as cultural significance. Drawing inspiration from those different genres and eras of music, nysheem aims to make this mark in Hip Hop. Entranced by the art of storytelling displayed by artists like Slick Rick, OutKast, Rakim and poems by Langston Huges & Amiri Baraka nysheem started crafting colorful semi autobiographical lyrics in the form of parables loaded with metaphors and punchlines over the gritty ever evolving production of his uncle "Chris Jack718". A practice/skill he'd continue to hone from adolescence well into adulthood.
