BIO

Doomherre is a doom metal trio founded in the heart of Stockholm/Sweden by Daniel Strachal, Victor Takala, and Max Collin.

Our Sound
Armed with heavy riffs and a deep respect for legends like Trouble, Candlemass, and The Obsessed, Doomherre is on a mission to carry the torch of classic doom into new territory. Their sound is rooted in the traditions of the genre, but the band is not standing still. With a clear sense of where they come from—and a strong drive to explore new ground—Doomherre is shaping their own path forward in heavy music.

Handcrafted
Every note, every riff—it’s all us. We didn’t just start a band; we built our dream. From recording with friends to launching our own label, Skatbo Records, to steering through PR and advertising, it’s all hands-on from all of us.

Why Doomherre?
We’re longtime friends creating heavy metal from the streets of our hometown. Doomherre isn’t just about doom metal; it’s a shared passion of the underground, a world we’ve been part of for most of our lives. We’re just like you!

Swedish doom titans Doomherre have released their second full-length album »Plaguelords«, today, November 25, 2025. Following the success of their 2023 debut »Bonegoat«, the band has crafted a heavier, darker, and more deliberate sound that solidifies their place as a dominant force in Swedish doom metal.

»Plaguelords« delivers nine crushing tracks: from the mythic scope of »Serpent Shrine«, »Wrath Of A Mountain God«, and »Hymn For Helios« to the introspective weight of »Dark Hand« and »This Burning Guilt«. Doomherre describes it as:

“»Plaguelords« is not just a collection of songs – it’s a book of horrors, with the Bonegoat as its author. We only give him the riffs to write with.”

Recorded and produced by the band, mixed and engineered by Victor Takala, and mastered by Björn Iversen, »Plaguelords« channels Doomherre’s signature mix of ritual intensity, crushing atmosphere, and unrelenting doom.

Vinyl collaboration & pre-orders:
In a special move for fans, Doomherre is partnering with Majestic Mountain Records for the vinyl release, alongside Skatbo Records. Pre-orders open December 13th, featuring two colored vinyl editions with only 200 copies total in the first pressing.

Artwork & visuals:
The album’s intricate artwork is by Brazilian artist Kin Noise (Guns N’ Roses, Megadeth), containing visual references to all nine tracks. Doomherre’s logotype, crafted by Swedish illustrator Martin Schmetzer, completes the band’s distinct visual identity.
