Canary Complex is the visual kei solo project of Canary Kasey, guitarist of the overseas rock and synth-pop band Flood District . Canary Complex has been active since 2021. Canary Kasey is the sole member of the project, writing and recording all vocals, music and lyrics (except in cases where credited otherwise).

Drawing musical inspiration from the romanticism embodied by bands like MALICE MIZER, LAREINE and SHAZNA, as well as the emotional depth of early LUNA SEA and Kuroyume, this project aims to create a baroque universe of impressionistic, soft oil colors and Canary Kasey's ever-changing moods. In addition to visual kei, Canary Kasey draws inspiration from bossa nova, French chansons, 60s baroque pop, and 80s post-punk.
