Japanese singer-songwriter.
She performs under both her solo name “Kaneko Ayano”
and her band name “kanekoayano” .

She began her music career with the release of her first solo album “hug” in 2016, followed by her first analog record “Mure-tachi” in 2017.
After releasing the band album “Shukusai” and solo album
“Shukusai Hitorideni” in 2018, she continued to release four band albums and five acoustic versions of the same tracks.

Kanekoʼ s work has been recognized at the CD Shop Awards,
with “Shukusai” nominated in 2019,
“Sansan” winning the Grand Prix in 2020,
“Yosuga” nominated in 2021, and her 2023 album “A towel
blanket is peaceful” also nominated for the 2024 Awards.
In 2023, she held a two-day concert at the iconic venue
Nippon Budokan and was a sub-headliner at Fuji Rock Festivalʼ 23.

In August 2024, during a performance at the
Hibiya Outdoor Music Hall, sheannounced that her support members would officially join her band, marking the beginning of “kanekoayano”.

In October 2025, she released the CD/LP solo album
“threads of stone hitorideni”, and from November,
she held the solo acoustic tour “Kaneko Ayano Solo Performance
‘threads of stone hitorideni’.

In 2024, they commenced activities with members
Hirotoshi Hayashi (guitar) and takuyaiizuka (bass),
with SEI NAGAHATA (drums) formally joining in January 2026.

In April 2024, they released the single “Lucky / i’m not sad”.
 in April 2025, they released their first album “thread of stone”.

In recent years, she has actively pursued overseas activities,
holding her third UK tour in May 2025, their first AUS tour in June,
and their first ASIA TOUR in October.
At Fuji Rock Festival ’25, they performed as sub-headliner
on the RED MARQUEE stage.

On 15 January 2026, kanekoayano will hold
their first “kanekoayano Nippon Budokan One-Man Show 2026”.
