
Darren Michael Boyd started his solo career as a form of therapy for the physical and psychological complications that followed a life-altering car accident.
His instrumental “Spooky Surf” sound has been described as “Dick Dale meets Joe Satriani in a horror movie”.
Boyd recently won Best North American Music Video in the Toronto Independent Film Festival for the self-produced “Perpetual Night”.
Boyd attended the Josie Music Awards in October 2024 as a nominee for Guitarist of the Year, Instrumental Album of the Year (Hexalogy), and Instrumental Single of the Year (Darkling) at the renowned Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee.
in 2024, Boyd recieved the Composer of the Year award at the Red Carpet award Show in Europe.
Aside from music, he loves books and animals. He has 4 cats, and over 60 pet reptiles.
