The Kepha Arcemont Experiment is just that. An Experiment in music. And then an experience in music.
Over the years there has been different musicians collaborating with Kepha and helping to realize his concept in music. His connections with past great musicians through their Experiment, have allowed creative ideas and concepts to be realized in his recordings. In 2021 Kepha recorded 8 songs at the legendary, Studio in the Country, in Bogalusa, LA, where Kansas (Leftoverture album) Stevie Wonder, Willie Nelson, Allen Toussaint, and many other great musicians recorded. At the time of the recordings, in the middle of the Covid crisis, Kepha didn't have a drummer who could come in the studio to record what he wanted in his songs. He was fortunate to be able to work with legendary drummer Kenny Aronoff, who laid down the drumming on these songs which would become the first album, Are You Experimental? Also lending to some studio work was legendary bassist, Philip Bynoe, bassist for Steve Vai who played on All Along The Watchtower. Jeff "Doc" Watson played bass on 7 of the songs on the album, "Are You Experimental?"
