mei ehara is a singer songwriter, born in 1991 and based in Tokyo, Japan. While in school, she started independent filmmaking and eventually turned her hand to home recording. Following several self released recordings, she released her first full-length album "Sway" (2017) and the second album "Ampersands" (2020), both on renowned indie label KAKUBARHYTHM. Her latest release is the two song 7 inch "Game Over / Picture," which came out in November 2022. She co wrote the lyrics and provided vocals for Faye Webster's second album "I Know I'm Funny Haha" in 202 l and provided vocals for Cornelius' single'Change and Vanish (feat. mei ehara)'in 2022. She has also guested on many recordings by other musicians over the years. Apart from music, she has engaged in a wide variety of activities, from editing and writing for the literary magazine Sono and editing the interview project DONCAMATIQ, to taking photos of musicians, graphic design and art direction for visual works.
