Verdris Moth is the solo studio project of British musician Daniel Hines.

"Verdris is basically a conglomeration of all the different aspects of music that I enjoy and identify with the most. It contains elements of electronic music, prog rock, film music, and ambient, plus various other influences as and when. Because I'm personally rather averse to singing on record or stage, or performing in general for that matter, I make up for that by focussing on melodies and atmospheres instead. So all of Verdris is instrumental. 
 "All of my output under Verdris Moth has a theme of some kind, so all the Verdris albums are concept albums, mostly inspired by the natural world, or a field of science. I also write emotionally above all - I try to compose in various different ways with different structures and approaches, but all of my stuff is sentimental to some degree. The weird name comes from a dream I once had years ago, about an artist who was escorting me through an exhibition of magically animated paintings." - Daniel Hines
