WISP is the solo project of Natalie Lu, a native of Ocean Beach, California. Known as "the voice of a restless, romantic generation," her music is characterized by an introspective, ethereal sound that blends the roar of shoegaze with spectral vocals. In 2023, Lu was a computer science student when she posted "Your Face" to TikTok, which overnight garnered 100,000 views and is currently streamed over 130 million times on Spotify, catapulting her to global fame. Following this success, Lu moved to Los Angeles to pursue her music career. In April 2024, she released the EP "Pandora." Her debut full-length album, "If Not Winter," explores the theme of "not being afraid of change and having courage," a theme Lu learned from her experiences and relationships in LA. It expresses the emotions torn between dreams and reality. Her music has captivated fans worldwide, with over 250 million streams to date and critical acclaim from major media outlets, including the Los Angeles Times. He has toured as a support act for legends like Slowdive and Panchiko, and has performed at renowned festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Earl Point East.
She has also supported System of a Down and Deftones on their stadium tours, and is garnering attention as a musician representing a new generation.
