Van Panther are an alternative rock band from Limerick City, Ireland whose music blends sharp guitar work, rhythmic tension and a strong melodic core. Their sound moves between post-punk bite and atmospheric colour, favouring clarity, energy and a deliberate emotional edge. Emerging from Ireland’s renowned underground and DIY guitar scene, they have shared stages with acts such as The Murder Capital, Holy Fuck and Cherym.
Their debut album Icarian has been described as “equal parts bruised and beautiful”, a record marked by taut arrangements, anxious propulsion and guitar work that shimmers, fractures and cuts through the mix. It balances immediacy with an undercurrent of unease, moving with a sense of purpose that never fully resolves. The songs carry a charged tension, shaped by interplay, texture and hooks that surface subtly rather than overtly.
