Four-piece instrumental rock band from Manila, Philippines.

Shaw is an instrumental quartet rooted in the fluid interplay of math rock, post-rock, and ambient textures. Formed in 2015 as a trio, the band introduced themselves through "Learning to Ride a Bike" (2018), a debut EP marked by playful, melodic phrasing and organic flow.

The addition of a fourth member deepened their palette - ushering in a sound that is more introspective, deliberate, and narratively complex. In their upcoming album "Book of Patterns" (2025), Shaw leans into contrast and cohesion: clean riffs and distorted swells, tension and release, silence and motion. The result is a record that speaks in dynamics rather than lyrics - a language built entirely on sound.
