DIIV is an indie rock/shoegaze band formed in Brooklyn, New York in 2011, centered around Zachary Cole Smith. Their 2012 debut album, "Oshin," quickly made them a scene sensation, captivating listeners worldwide with their unique sound that fuses the transparency of dream pop with the driving energy of post-punk. Since then, the band has faced numerous difficulties, including member changes and turmoil in the frontman's personal life. However, they transformed these experiences into strength, creating 2019's "Deceiver" and their latest album from 2024, "Frog in Boiling Water," which built an even heavier, darker, and more artistic wall of sound, propelling them to the pinnacle of the contemporary indie scene.
